On Saturday 13th May 2017 the Brighton and Hove Russian Choir will present a concert dedicated to the Victory Day (9th of May) to mark the anniversary of the Second World War ending on that day. This occasion is widely celebrated in Russia and other Russian-speaking countries when we remember our heroes and show respect to the memories of soldiers all over the world.
The Choir will sing a range of traditional lyrical and folk songs as well as classical and solo pieces. A short introduction to every song will be presented by the Choir's leader - Polina Shepherd (Skovoroda), an internationally renowned performer and soloist.
Before the concert and during the interval a variety of Russian cakes and snacks will be on sale, including teas and coffee.
The concert will take place in the Main Hall, at BHASVIC college, Dyke Road, Hove. Doors open at 13:00.
£10 for an adult
£5 for a child (must be over 6 years old, as this is not an event for small children)
Tickets purchased on the day of event (at the entrance) are £12 and £7 respectively.
IMPORTANT - Please note - as we are a small voluntary organisation we have no facilities to issue tickets, so we will have a list of names to check. We also suggest that you may want to print out your payment confirmation to bring on the day, to avoid delays on entry.
