On Saturday 13th May 2017 the Brighton and Hove Russian Choir presented a concert dedicated to the Victory Day (9th of May) to mark the anniversary of the Second World War ending on that day. This occasion is widely celebrated in Russia and other Russian-speaking countries when we remember our heroes and show respect to the memories of soldiers all over the world.

The Choir sang a range of traditional lyrical and folk songs as well as classical and solo pieces. A short introduction to every song was presented by the Choir's leader - Polina Shepherd (Skovoroda), an internationally renowned performer and soloist.

The performance was brilliant and very well received by both Russian and English speaking audience.
